Katie has been working as a Fashion Print Designer for over 15 years. Alongside this she designs her own collection of greetings cards and art prints based on her original illustrations. Her illustrations are well-known for their bold combination of detailed monochrome drawings with a striking colour pop, which are intended to evoke memories and bring their recipients joy.
One of Katie’s all-time favourite things to do when traveling to a new city is to seek out the spots that make it truly unique. The independent stores that locals love, the hole-in-the-wall restaurant that’s a well-kept secret, the historic landmarks that make a city unique - these places are important characters in the memories and stories of peoples’ lives. Capturing them in her artwork is one of her greatest joys! That’s why cityscapes form a big part of her illustration work.
She loves to take on bespoke cityscape illustrations depicting couples stories, and is also often commissioned to draw wedding venues, wedding flowers, pets and houses. More recently she has also been taking on commercial client work, including designing greetings cards for Graff Diamonds and creating a floral window mural for Bayfields Opticians.
